building a whitewater dory.
In September of 2020 I embarked on my first proper woodworking project--building a wooden river dory. I had the incredible opportunity to row a friend's dory for a couple days on the Salmon river in Idaho and through that I fell in love with the experience of rowing one of these incredible wood boats. Thus I stumbled into this project without really knowing what exactly I'd gotten myself into. Since then I have helped build a second, smaller boat & am looking forward to the next watercraft project.
