Odo went back to Fretwater to get the floor glassed. The glass is made of several layers of heavy-duty glassing fabric, and is left clear to make it easier to see rot or other damage on the floor.

paint!

A long night of painting and Odo's hull was water proof and looking like a proper dory!

The paint used is from Kirby Paints, a company in New Bedford, Mass. that has been making marine paint since 1846. Their paint is unlike any other I has used before, with a consistency that is impressively close to peanut butter...

the name goes on!

The final touch before leaving Fretwater was to paint on the name, "Odonata," named after the insect order that includes damselflies and dragonflies, the former of which come in bright blue and green hues and often land on your oar blades as you float down the river.
